From the most ancient of materials, clay – which has been the source of ceramic creations for century after century, shaped by the skilled hands of dextrous craftsmen who hand down their knowledge through the culture of millennia-old civilisations like memories that resurface, rekindled each time with a fresh, modern lease of life – the ceramic creations of the Argille collection, with their simple purity born out of an aesthetic legacy that has remained unchanged since time immemorial, take pride of place as the latest iterations of an undying tradition.
A tradition that is also encapsulated in the production method selected specifically to showcase the very essence of this unique material, namely double firing – the world’s oldest technique for manufacturing ceramic tiles – with a body made from the distinctive red clay sourced from our local area. This makes it a fitting tribute to the centuries-old local tradition of ceramics, Italian to its very core, as well as a conscious act of sustainability that serves to nurture the economy and, more generally, the environment of the area around us.
The inherently natural soul of this product is also reflected in the name chosen to describe the colours of the backgrounds used in the range, all of which represent types of clay that can actually be found in nature: Argilla Beige; Argilla Bianca; Argilla Blu; Argilla Rossa; Argilla Verde.
